This playpiece, at display in CCAA, was used in a game as 'racehorse'. Can you imagine a Roman, concentrating on etching the name of his favourite horse, 'MIRANDVS' or 'To be admired', in this stone? Fascinating! I don't know how the game was called nor its rules - probably 'Latrunculi' -, but I will soon find out.
